Dogs of Oklahoma

Written to be the first episode of a multi-part serial, Dogs of Oklahoma is performed as a radio show, featuring a foley artist and guitarist live on stage providing the soundscape.

A young man returns home from The Great War to find his family gone. Down the road, a woman kicks her husband out for continuing to rob banks. When the young ex-soldier introduces the robber’s family to a new invention called the tommy gun, will the new technology make everything right, or will it drag America into a world of chaos and danger?

Dogs of Oklahoma was performed at The Brick Theater as part of their Democracy Festival in 2012, directed by Luke Harlan.
